Tras la suspensión de las elecciones a gobernador por parte de la Corte Suprema de Justicia, San Juan aguarda la decisión sobre la candidatura de Sergio Uñac. Desde su espacio político, desestimaron que se estén barajando nombres para reemplazarlo e insisten en la validez de su postulación.
El vicegobernador Roberto Gattoni expresó en radio AM1020 sobre la danza de nombres de posibles sucesores de Sergio Uñac en la candidatura a gobernador que «es una falta de respeto al candidato actual y al ciudadano y también a la persona en la que depositado su confianza como compañero de fórmula, Cristian Andino, hablar de otras personas. El único habilitado para hacer una especulación de este tipo es el propio gobernador y en el momento oportuno».
Insistió en que «estamos convencidos de la habilitación de Uñac para ser candidato. No hay que especular sobre algo en lo que no estoy convencido. Si se diera un escenario adverso, le corresponde a Uñac y a Andino evaluar nombres. Los demás no tenemos nada que opinar; menos desde medios de comunicación nacionales. Hay que guardar prudencia y esperar los tiempos necesarios. Se tiene que respetar la institucionalidad».
El también presidente nato de la Cámara de Diputados marcó que hay que aguardar «lo que defina la Corte sobre la habilitación. No se sabe y debemos mantener la prudencia. Nadie debe probarse trajes que no le corresponden y Uñac no ha dicho nada al respecto. Es más, vamos a seguir hasta las últimas consecuencias como llegar a los Tribunales internacionales porque estamos convencidos de la legalidad y la legitimidad de su candidatura».
